Best Neighborhoods Near CHLA
CHLA sits on Sunset Boulevard in the eastern part of Hollywood. The neighborhoods immediately surrounding it are some of the most livable in the whole city. That's the silver lining here: if you have to be in LA for your kid's treatment or your nursing contract, at least you'll be in a genuinely nice part of town.
Los Feliz
Los Feliz is the closest neighborhood to CHLA and probably the best fit for families. The Silverlake Reservoir is the anchor: a beautiful walking loop surrounded by hills and mid-century homes. Hollywood
Hollywood is west of CHLA and offers the broadest range of apartment options near the hospital. The area around Franklin and Vermont is particularly well-positioned: close to CHLA, walkable to shops and restaurants, and close to the Metro Red Line if you want to skip driving.
